July 4 - Day 350

America Day.
It's America's birthday!  What better way to celebrate then to stimulate their economy with some holiday shopping!  We headed over to Rittenhouse Square and were tempted by some shops.  For lunch we stopped at the most adorable English Pub, The Dandelion Pub.  We start with a pitcher of Pimms and then share a variety of their appetizers including: Deviled Eggs, Crab & Cheese Toasties, Fish Cakes, Butter Lettuce Salad and Beet Root Cured Salmon.  Semolina Custard Rolls and a pot of Earl Grey are dessert.  YUM!  After our lunch we people-watched at Rittenhouse Square and then headed back to get ready for Philly's Fourth of July Jam. This was a free concert on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway featuring: The Roots, Estelle, Earth, Wind & Fire, Michael MacDonald (A Doobie Brother), Sara Bareilles and surprise guests Boyz II Men!  Fireworks followed.  This shot was taken at the beginning of the parkway.  You can see the Musuem of Art in the background.
