September 24 - Day 432

Savour Stratford 2011.
Volunteer duty for One Care at the grocery check today.  Only 2 hours this year versus last year's 16 and a warm sunny day versus the rain and cold of last year.  2011 takes it!

September 23 - Day 431

Man Bouquet.
Well it was my last day at my job today.  CC made me this card, "I opted to get you a bouquet of men rather than actual flowers".  I love it!  You may be wondering about Mike Myers in this bunch of hotties.  At work we listen to a "light favourites" radio station where once a day they play the 1997 single from Chantel Kreviazuk entitled Wayne.  It's our song, her Wayne is Mike Myers, my Wayne is Wayne Gretzky.  Generational differences.

September 22 - Day 430

The Year You Were Born.
Willows on William St.  If I was a tree, I wouldn't mind being a Willow.  Also, great movie.  "Wiiiiiilllllllllooooooowwww"

September 21 - Day 429

YS(9)K
C and I skipped the 5:45 am run this morning for a "fun run" this evening. Basically we wanted to try and see how far we could make it, so with the Festival City 10 K route printed we set off making it 9K, our longest run ever!  It was a beautiful night for a run and on the way home I stopped by York St for a round of night shots.  Here we see closing time at York St. Kitchen (YSK).

September 16 - Day 424

Three of A Kind.
Besides the peonies, this might be the only plant that survives the dig up of the very back of my yard.  I spent most of last Sunday pulling and cutting to make way for the fruit and vegetable garden I'm planning for next year.

September 15 - Day 423

Dogs on Leash.
This applies to sexy ladies walking robust dogs only. (Mitchell, Lions Park)

September 9 - Day 417

Hanging Out.
Today I spent some time with Mom and B.  We went and played at Upper Queen's Park, went out for lunch and made a stop at Family & Co.  ("You can pick out one thing B", "How many cents is this?" "Waaaayyyy to many!")  A nice way to spend a lieu day!

September 5 - Day 413

The Cat Came Back.
What a difference a year, and a zoom, makes.  This is the neighbourhood cat who likes to lounge in various backyards.  I took a shot of him last year on Day 45  with my old canon powershot.  Here he is at about the same distance with my olympus.

September 4 - Day 412

Fly, Dragon.
Dragonflies are everywhere, it seems.  Here's one on my backdoor.

September 1 - Day 409

Road Work.
Since I was sitting here for about 10 minutes I figured to use my time wisely.

August 31 - Day 408

Everyone loves.....Belugas!
Today was my first trip to Marineland!  M, J, George and I took the trip with the Dickinson clan.  Thanks to D, our personal tour guide who just happens to be a whale trainer at the park!  Not only did we learn lots from him, we also got a glimpse of things behind the scenes and even got to go "backstage" after one of the shows to meet and pet a dolphin!  I was too excited to take photos of that event but here's a shot of one of the many belugas at the park.  They are such incredible creatures!
