Sew, A Needle Pulling Thread.
This isn't exactly what you expect to see on a flashing light sign. Hotel, Motel, Restaurant, Girls! Girls! Girls!, maybe, not "Sewing Machines". It is eye-catching though. And it reminds me that I still haven't learned to sew.
