In Grateful Memory.
This statue sits on a patch of grass at the corner of Huron & William Streets, in front of the Lion's Pool. Until today I had never stopped to find out what it was. Inscribed is the following "To the people of Stratford in grateful memory of their kindness and hospitality to the soldiers of the oppressed Netherlands 1941-1945"
