In September I was lucky to find out that some of the photos I submitted to the Perth County Greenworks Photo Contest were chosen to appear in the 2012 calendar ( Day 248, Day 262 & Day 280) and the calendar is now availabe for sale! Calendars are available for purchase at Your Local Market co-op, The Green Hair Spa, The COunty Food Co., The Gentle Rain, The Slow Food Market, P'Lovers, Feathered Friends Boutique, The ReStore, The Stratford Gazette, The Journal Argus in St. Marys, and the Perth Visitors Centre in Shakespeare. Cost is only $5.00 - PS - close friends and relatives do not buy. Christmas is coming ;)
Just what is Perth County Greenworks? "Perth County Green Works has been developing and promoting projects with the intent of creating sustainable communities through resources conservation, pollution prevention, and the adoption of ecologically sound practices in Perth County.
Throughout the years we have helped over 800 citizens make their homes more energy efficient and helped divert thousands of downspouts from draining into sewe...rs. Beside conservation initiatives, we have sponsored, supported and participated in scores of events, provided services for local environmental groups and shared and distributed information about conservation, sustainability and environmental protection.
Our aim is to continue working for energy efficient and more sustainable communities in Perth County. Please join us on our journey to a greener future!"
